NON-LUBRICANT

NON- LUBRICANT N009

A fluid lubricant between lapped seal faces is defined as any gas or liquid that will maintain a film thickness of one micron (0.000039 inches) or more at its operating temperature and load.

Cold water is a lubricant, hot water is not.

Many solvents are not lubricants, but most liquids are.
